Here at CODE student accommodation we understand there is a lot to organise when you're due to move, so to help make things a little easier, we have tried to answer common questions that we have been asked in the past. How do I reserve my CODE flat?

You can call in to our offices on 40-46 Western Road, Leicester, LE3 0GH where you can visit our show flat and fill in a reservation form with our sales team. Alternatively please email us; info@codestudents.co.uk or call us: 0116 233 1233 to request a reservation form to be sent via email to fill in and email back to us.

How much do I need to pay up front?

You will need to pay a £200 holding fee; this will secure a flat in your name. This will form part of you total deposit of £300, the outstanding amount we then request along with the first instalment of your rent along with £100 admin fee.

*Should you decide not to proceed your holding of fee £200 is non refundable.

What is a guarantor and why do I have to have one?

A guarantor is a UK home owner that acts as a guarantee that you will pay your rent. They would be responsible for your rent should you become unable to pay during your rental period.

What happens if I can not provide a guarantor?

If you are unable to provide a Guarantor who is a UK Home Owner then we can help you, we would just ask that you pay in two installments instead of four.

Does the rent include bills?

As a student you are naturally exempt from paying council tax and water rates are included. We do ask that you pay for your electricity; we believe that it is fairer to ask that you only pay for the power that you use, and don't charge you an additional sum per week. We make your utility bills as easy as possible for you, with our own Utilities Department, we set up your account with the provider by sending all the information required on your behalf. You will then receive a bill from your provider in your name that you will be responsible to pay.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Here at Code we work hard to provide you with the top quality service and there are no hidden fees

How long is my contract?

Our contract period runs from July – June, however there are different contract lengths appropriate to each building, and depending on availability we can look at which contract may be more suitable for your individual needs; please do not hesitate to contact our sales team who will be more than happy to run through any further questions you may have about your contract.

When can I move in?

Once you have received your contract, it will provide you with your payment dates and move in dates. However, should you be in any doubt please contact the sales team to tell you when you can move in

What if there is a problem with my flat while I am staying there?

We have an efficient maintenance team that work together to resolve any problems that you may have during your time with Code as quickly as possible at no extra cost to yourself.
